Fann Wong, better or worse??

alright alright, seems like reader going to assume that i will be gossiping about her relationship with ... (you know who)

actually, am thinking of judging (very neutral point of view) her performace in her latest movie
"Ah Long Pte Ltd" since i had watched it a few hours ago



storyline: It is a light-hearted black comedy about the triad world and the money-lending business. Following the retirement of her triad leader (Richard Low), a young lady, Li Hua (Fann Wong), tries to restructure her money-lending triad into a professional and 'loving' triad that stands against the use of violence. She also suffers a nagging mother and gets involved in a romance with Mr Fang (Mark Lee), an effeminate dance instructor cum image stylist.

plot of the story is very typical thus easily predictable, & all the actors are simply being put into their respective role... having to think it back, non of the character in the movie had leave any impression to me.

Mark Lee has his usual acting style in this movie (just simply exaggerate that with more Malaysia Accent)... fake & not funny at all.... seems that he had simply lack of improvment since his last role in TCS .

Fann Wong?? pretty barbie is seeking (eagerly) for more different roles to expand her performance career beside being nothing than a pretty face....

Trying out different roles & improving one's acting skill is greatly admire but the character in this movie seems to mark a great failure.

Her face expression (1st of all) has nothing more than simply STARE... does that really show me that she is a mean character??? NOPE. I only feel that she is faking her coolness... (tsk tsk tsk... how can a character with great potential of experimenting your acting skill to be left in such faking looks).

Has it been that the movie itself had left her not much choice (or time) thus she has yet able to really perform?

Too much of other actor's shadow (has she been secretly learn from other movies?)

Had greatly disappoint me after i had such high expectation of her since her last drama series

ops... did i just notice that she had her eyebrow drawn (on purpose) much thicker on the movie or is that really her natural eyebrow
